Air curtains are widely used across the industrial sector — for warehouse doors, ovens, continuous dryers, or for air sealing and climate control when a heating module is included. They also help contain odours within production areas and prevent the loss of clean, conditioned air. Air curtains are an effective solution for odour confinement in food processing plants or waste management facilities, where it is essential that odours remain contained within designated zones.
In waste management plants in particular, air curtains play a key role in operations, allowing transport access doors to remain open while keeping them sealed to stop odours escaping to the outside environment.
The odor management associated with the operation of the El Rutal Biosolids Management Center has been carried out through different evaluation mechanisms such as: modeling of dispersion of gases and odors before and during the operation of the Center, continuous monitoring of odors, participation of the residents in the city center of Montenegro and Rungue.
