   The division of the company Lab Service dedicated to Interlaboratory testing, InterCinD, is already organizing its annual Proficiency Test for Olfactometry based on the new EN 13725:2022. Any European olfactometric laboratory is invited to participate in this edition to confirm compliance with the performance criteria.

   Registration is currently open for this year's Proficiency Test organized by InterCinD. The registration period will continue until August 4, 2023. This is one of the major Proficiency Testing (PT) exercises organized in Europe in the topic of odour.

   Siamo lieti di annunciare il completamento di tre anni di lavoro dedicato che ha portato alla creazione del primo manuale internazionale al mondo focalizzato sulla valutazione dell'esposizione agli odori attraverso la modellizzazione della dispersione. Questa iniziativa mirava a colmare una lacuna nelle linee guida esistenti per la gestione degli odori e altre linee guida correlate alla modellizzazione della dispersione, e ora la prima edizione è disponibile per il download.

   Il manuale affronta le complessità della modellazione degli odori, riconoscendo le caratteristiche uniche degli incidenti di odore spesso percepiti in pochi secondi o minuti, sfidando così le tradizionali modalità di modellazione della dispersione.    The second presentation of the standard UNE 77270:2023 - Collaborative Odour Maps Construction through Citizen Science, published in October, was held on November 6th at Lleialtat Santsenca in Barcelona, was a resounding success. The event marked a historic moment as the first standard worldwide to incorporate citizen science as a methodological approach for monitoring odour impact was officially launched. Experts and community members who contributed to the development of this innovative standard gathered to celebrate this achievement.    The audience at the event, consisting of both experts and the general public, witnessed the culmination of four years of dedicated work by the group behind the standard's development. The successful launch highlights the increasing recognition of citizen science as a valuable tool in environmental monitoring and governance.
