With over 120 attendants, this time the 6^th Conference about Odours in the Environment organized by the German Association of Engineers (VDI) on a biannual basis took place the 18^th and 19^th of November 2015 in the city of Karlsruhe. The number of attendees was greater than in previous occassions, therefore there was a great opportunity for networking and interacting with the people in this event.

  The number of presentations was lower than in other meetings but the quality of them was quite high.

   This first workshop organized by the Environmental Institute of Paraná (Instituto Ambiental do Parana, IAP) took place in the Toledo Campus of the Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Paraná in Toledo, Brazil. The event was promoted by the IAP and had the support of the Public Ministry and some private companies. During this workshop, the president of the IAP, Luiz Tarcisio Mossato Pinto, announced that a new program for atmospheric emissions will be launched in November.

   The aim of this Workshop was to discuss the mecanisms to control odours from industrial companies in the region.  The Workshop was open to the scientific community, industry and companies related to environmental odour management. The registration for this interesting event was free and the conference room was full.
